- Determine if periodontal disease is present
- Examine the status of developing teeth
- Locate abscesses
Extra-Oral X-Rays (Panoramic radiograph, Cephalometric x-ray, Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT))
These are taken outside of the mouth and create a single image of the entire mouth.
